What is the principle of circulating water descaling?

—— Circulating water descaling

Direct current is applied to the cooling circulating water through a certain descaling device. After the electrolysis starts, the heavy metal ions (including scale) in the water will adhere to the surface of the negative electrode in the electrolytic cell of the electrolysis descaling system, and then the positive electrode and the negative electrode are periodically reversed. After switching, the scale adhering to the negative electrode falls off and is discharged to the outside of the circulating water system together with the drainage. In the case of non-reversing use, a certain concentration of hydroxide ions and carbonate ions are generated in the cathode area, which promotes the combination of calcium and magnesium ions in the water with hydroxide ions and carbonates to form calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, Calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate are attached to the cathode casing to form a scale of a certain thickness. Due to the hydrogen generated by the cathode, the scale of the casing is basically loose and soft scale, so it can be cleaned with a physical scraper and high-pressure water rinsing. In addition, according to the hardness of water quality in different regions, the amount and form of scale collected on the cathode cylinder are also slightly different.

At the same time, in the reaction area near the anode, under the action of the electric field, chloride ions lose electrons and are converted into free chlorine, accompanied by the production of trace amounts of ozone, hydroxide radicals and other strong oxidizing substances, which have the effect of killing algae.

This electrochemical treatment of circulating water can use an electrolytic descaling device, which is directly put into the pool, easy to operate, unattended, and only needs to be cleaned regularly according to the situation of scale collection.
